The book is intended for an interdisciplinary readership working in the area of text-technology, natural language processing, computational linguistics, computer science or cognitive science. The common ground of this readership is its interest in the formal modelling, standardized annotation and automatic processing of textual data structures. This includes ontology mining from natural language texts as well as (web) document structure learning and text parsing. The chapters of the book will be written in a comprehensive manner including information on the linguistic grounding of the respective data structure, its formal or text-technological modelling and algorithmic, machine learning-related processing. Thus, the book addresses researchers as well as practitioners who want to become acquainted with theoretical developments, computational models and their empirical evaluation in the field of research of text-technology. Because of this wider scope, the book is also adequate for supplemental reading in courses on text-technology, text-based machine learning or text mining.
