The Social-Semantic Cloud Computing project studies linguistic change over time using historical long-term corpora (such as the Patrologia Latina) as well as decentralized social networks (such as Wikipedia). The research is focused on three questions:

1. Which principles underlie the origin, development, and proliferation of the meaning of linguistic entities in decentralized social networks?
2. Which principles support the processing of information in such networks?
3. How do these networks develop over longer (i.e. not-easily-observed) time periods?

This project is part of the Frankfurt Cloud Research Consortium .
